About
Survival Laser, Inc. sells high-power handheld 405nm violet, 445nm blue and 635nm & 660nm red laser parts bundles, laser parts and laser accessories for all-weather firestarting, emergency signaling, aquarium pest control, remote target illumination, educational, research, pyrotechnic material ignition, military, law enforcement and other applications.

Survival Laser was launched in 2010 by Gary Rosenfield in Cedar City, Utah. Gary has a long time interest in high tech devices including lasers. His fascination with lasers began in 1966 with the publication of the article "The Laser's Bright Magic" in the December issue of National Geographic magazine. In 1973 he constructed an Argon-ion gas laser that won 2nd place in the Orange County, CA science fair. Also around that time he and high school friend Gene Gibbs were making laser holograms in the basement of the Gibbs family cabin in Lake Arrowhead, CA.

L-R: Gary Rosenfield, Franklin "Gene" Gibbs and Gary Leacock during a test filling of the Argon laser tube with gas.
Gary is also a bona-fide "rocket scientist" and develops propellant formulations and rocket motor designs for the AeroTech Consumer Aerospace Division of RCS Rocket Motor Components, Inc., and his attention to engineering detail is embodied in the Survival Laser products, bringing you some of the highest quality and most powerful handheld laser components available today.
The Survival Laser 445nm diode module and driver assembly uses a high power direct diode that was not available to the general public until mid-2010, unless you wanted to spend literally thousands of dollars. It truly is "21st century technology in the palm ofyour hand".
